b r e a t h e, utilized summer cloth, a traditional ramie-based hand-woven textile sourced from Jiangxi province of China, as its main medium to express my pursuit for an ethereal way of dressing and a sense of lightness of the spirit. Through visiting the village in Jiangxi that still makes summer cloth in a very traditional way, I engaged in envisioning my role as a Chinese designer, the preservation of Chinese know-how in the contemporary world, and offering a decent livelihood for those who create painstaking beauty crystallized by time.
